Founded in 1935, Heresite develops corrosion resistant protective coatings for HVAC-R condenser and evaporator coils, radiators, and heat transfer equipment operating in demanding environments. Heresite coating technologies include air-cured, chemical-cured, baked epoxy, and phenolic coating systems. Through our partnership with WEG, Heresite now supports both HVAC-R and Industrial Protection applications, providing long-term corrosion protection for non-HVAC metal structures and equipment.
Coating Solutions for HVAC-R and Industrial Protection
Heresite protective coating products include:
- HVAC-R coil and radiator coatings
- HVAC-R functional topcoats
- Industrial baked phenolic coatings
- Industrial Protection coatings for non-HVAC equipment
Industrial Protection coatings include self-priming systems, primers, and high-performance topcoats engineered for corrosion protection, environmental resistance, and long-term durability in severe service environments. These systems are used on equipment and structures such as:
- Tanks and piping
- Silos and platforms
- Structural steel and industrial infrastructure
Tested Performance in Harsh Environments
Heresite coatings have been resistance tested against hundreds of chemicals and evaluated in harsh marine and salt air environments. Depending on the application, specific coating systems have been tested for:
- Cyclic marine weathering
- Static salt spray and acidic salt spray
- Adhesion, bend testing, and thermal efficiency impact
- Resistance to over 600 corrosive chemicals
Proven Protection and Recognized Standards
Baked phenolic and epoxy modified baked phenolic coatings protect against corrosive chemicals and extreme environmental exposure. In heat transfer equipment, baked phenolic epoxy coatings control corrosion with minimal reduction in heat transfer efficiency. In Industrial Protection applications, these technologies help maintain corrosion resistance, adhesion, and appearance under chemical exposure, moisture or immersion, UV exposure, and mechanical wear.
Heresite P-413 was the first HVAC-R coil and radiator coating to meet ISO 12944-9 (formerly ISO 20340) and is the only phenolic-epoxy coating for HVAC-R coils approved for NSF/ANSI 51.
Large-Scale Application Capability
Heresite protective coatings can be applied to oversize HVAC coils and units up to 55 feet long x 11 ½ feet tall x 10 ½ feet wide at our facility. Overhead cranes can lift up to 60,000 pounds, supporting large-scale coating applications across HVAC-R and Industrial Protection projects.
Air-Dry Coatings
Heresite HVAC protective coating products have been shown to extend the life of HVAC-R and other heat transfer equipment. They provide superior corrosion resistance in the harshest environments, including C4, C5, CX and extreme marine environments.
Baked Phenolics
Heresite baked phenolic coatings are designed for a wide range of pH environments, including highly acidic environments. They are used for protection in a variety of industries, including coating container linings, tank linings, fans, blowers, duct work, exhaust hoods, pipes, and pumps.
