HVAC Protective Coating Products

Man Coating Metal with BrushHeresite HVAC-R protective coatings are engineered for condenser and evaporator coils operating in corrosive environments. Designed to protect heat transfer surfaces, these coating systems help extend equipment life in coastal, industrial, and high humidity conditions.

Heresite coil coating technologies include air-cured, chemical-cured, baked epoxy, and phenolic systems formulated to balance corrosion resistance with heat transfer performance. These coatings are specified for HVAC-R equipment operating in harsh environments where reliability and maintenance cycles are a priority.

HVAC Applications

Heresite HVAC-R coatings are used to protect:

  • Condenser and evaporator coils
  • Air handlers and packaged units
  • Radiators and heat exchangers
  • HVAC components exposed to salt air, moisture, and airborne contaminants

Tested for Corrosive HVAC Conditions

Heresite coatings have been evaluated in harsh marine and salt air environments and resistance tested against hundreds of chemicals. Depending on the product and application, testing may include:

  • Cyclic marine weathering
  • Static and acidic salt spray
  • Adhesion, flexibility, and bend testing
  • Thermal efficiency impact
  • Resistance data covering over 600 corrosive chemicals

Phenolic Performance for Heat Transfer Equipment

Baked phenolic and epoxy modified baked phenolic coatings provide durable protection in aggressive HVAC environments. In heat transfer equipment, baked phenolic epoxy coatings help control corrosion with minimal reduction in heat transfer efficiency.

Heresite P-413 was the first HVAC-R coil and radiator coating to meet ISO 12944-9 (formerly ISO 20340) and is the only phenolic-epoxy coating for HVAC-R coils approved for NSF/ANSI 51.

Oversize Coil Coating Capability

Heresite protective coatings can be applied to oversize HVAC coils and units up to 55 feet long x 11 ½ feet tall x 10 ½ feet wide at our facility. Overhead cranes can lift up to 60,000 pounds, supporting large-scale HVAC coil coating applications.

Air-Dry Coatings

Heresite HVAC protective coating products have been shown to extend the life of HVAC-R and other heat transfer equipment. They provide superior corrosion resistance in the harshest environments, including C4, C5, CX and extreme marine environments.

Baked Phenolics

Heresite baked phenolic coatings are designed for a wide range of pH environments, including highly acidic environments. They are used for protection in a variety of industries, including coating container linings, tank linings, fans, blowers, duct work, exhaust hoods, pipes, and pumps.
